When a couple is so in love and so enjoys spending time with one another, it is wonderful to see them united together on their wedding day. Ryan and Jaime’s wedding was also particularly special because their wedding coordinator, Lisa Lee from Shing Weddings, included key cultural elements with a traditional tea ceremony. Lisa was generally fantastic to work with and I could tell the families really enjoyed that special time.
The wedding ceremony itself was held outdoors, where Jaime and Ryan were beautifully framed by a floral arch. After the ceremony, I was able to capture family portraits both outdoors and indoors. I always love photographing portraits at Hycroft Manor because the setting gives them such a regal vibe.
Jaime also gave off her own regal vibe with her full train, which made for absolutely gorgeous portraits of the newlyweds. I also appreciated that the two of them were open to a variety of backdrops. We ventured into the woods for a bit, which allowed for some lovely moments among the natural beauty.
The day ended with a reception, which was an elegant blend of modern and traditional elements. Especially unique, the couple had a white and blue three-tiered wedding cake that matched the blue colour scheme elsewhere in the space. After formalities (and multiple outfit change for Jaime!) the couple and their guests celebrated with toasts and dancing and of course, ice sculpture shots! It was a perfect and wild fun ending to a wildly memorable day.
