Harrison Alpaca Farms Craigowan Golf Course Wedding | June 15th, 2019
Last month, I had the chance to fly out to Ontario thanks to Cal and Em bringing me out for their Harrison Alpaca Farms Craigowan Golf Course Wedding. Yes, that’s the full SEO title, but that’s what Google wants apparently. Seriously though, I felt so honoured that they chose to include me for their wedding! I always enjoy traveling for work, and this trip was one of my favourites! Not only did I get to capture a truly unique wedding full of colour and awesome people, but along the way I rode some of the most amazing roller coasters, saw the Raptors finally win, sang karaoke until 2am and tried some of the very best beer Toronto had to offer. But enough about me…
I’ve known Cal and Em for several years through my church and it’s been awesome to see their relationship grow over time. From the start, they wanted their wedding to be different. Cal, working as a fashion guru designed his own custom suit while Em chose the colour scheme and created some amazing and vibrant fabric flowers. Instead of copying many trends they had seen, they really blazed their own trail. That extended all the way to the location they chose, Woodstock, Ontario. A large reason they went back to Woodstock was that all four of Em’s grandparents were able to make the wedding that way. She was able to honour them that way and it was beautiful to see them be a part of the day.
However, I can’t post about this wedding without mentioning the amazing Jim and Carol from Harrison’s Alpacas. Unbeknownst to me, Cal has a major thing for llamas and alpacas (not the same animal I learned) and thought it would be fantastic to take some photos with them. Em searched the area and found Jim and Carol’s farm and they were more than happy to help us out. They said this was their first wedding party photo request but seeing how fantastic things turned out, I doubt it will be their last! Huge thanks to Jim and Carol and congratulations to Cal and Em!!!
