Old school charm flourishes in every corner of Rowena’s Inn on the River. The estate manages to bring rustic and glam together in harmonious union, lending effortless class to any wedding. The lush ground beautifully accommodate everything from secluded elopements to moderately sized parties, with their smallest package designed for a bride, groom, and two witnesses; their largest, 150 guests. A couple looking to elope will exchange vows in the cozy drawing room with views of the Harrison River and mountains beyond. A three course meal for four (bride, groom, two witnesses) is prepared by the inn’s resident chef to follow the vows, after which the glowing newlyweds may retire to onsite accommodations either in the main house or in one of the cottages sprinkled across the estate. A warm, country style breakfast will be waiting for the lovebirds the next morning, and is included in the price of an overnight stay.

Slightly larger, but still intimate, parties of up to 20 guests will be hosted in a private dining room, again, the river quietly meanders through the view out the window. Any party between 20 and 75 guests has various venue options, depending on the season. Poolside is a popular location, and tents are also available to set up elsewhere on the grassy lawns and gardens. Above 75 and up to 150 guests can be accommodated by tents, but are too large to be seated poolside. For a slightly more nonchalant, yet oh-so-suave (not to mention more budget friendly) option, consider the cocktail style packages offered to parties of 50 to 75 guests.

Regardless of party size, all catering — meaning both food and alcohol, but excluding the cake — will be provided by the Inn. Menu tastings for plated meals as well as buffet options are available, and the Inn happily encourages you to bring as many as nine of your most trusted advisers, for a total of 10 being served at the tasting. On the night of, meals will be served at one of two reception areas, depending on the size of your party. Ample dancing room, a place for the DJ, and, of course, tables and chairs will all be comfortably sheltered within either venue.

PROS:
– Rowena’s Inn captures sweet and simple beautifully, while remaining supremely classy.
– A limo golf cart is provided for photo sessions, allowing for optimum ease and versatility.
– Clients are welcome to take charge of decorating, so the finishing touches are uniquely suited to
you and your wedding.
– Ceremony, reception, overnight accommodations; all are available in one lovely location.

CONS:
– The music must be silenced, and the alcohol must stop flowing no later than midnight, with
everyone out of the venue by 12:30 (not exactly the wee hours of the morning).
– While 150 is the max capability during summer and shoulder seasons, winter weddings must be
limited to 75 guests. Shaving the guest list down to under 100 could be difficult.
– Rowena’s Inn makes no promise of exclusivity, so, depending on your date, you may be sharing
the place with a few other guests and/or events.

BOTTOM LINE:
If the 1920s bring to mind the kind of style and class that would imbue your ideal wedding,
if simple is more of an asset than a drawback for you, and if waking up to a decadent breakfast the
morning after vows exchanged on a cozy riverfront sounds like a dream-come-true, Rowena’s Inn on the
River is where you want to be.
