Pinnacle At The Pier Wedding | March 23rd, 2019

Historically, March weddings can be a bit tricky with regards to the weather. It is always difficult to predict whether winter will linger on or if spring may arrive early. It seemed that mother nature was ready to celebrate right along with Adam and Richelle because their special day was wonderful, with warm temperatures and beautiful skies.

The day started with the usual bridal party getting ready photos. It was a great time as Richelle’s make-up team at Denise Elliott Beauty Co. were seasoned pros and very easy to interact with. Richelle and her bridesmaids were also easily photo ready in their matching floral robes. Meanwhile, it was fun to see a pop of color in Adam’s attire as he got ready with bright red socks!

Richelle and Adam opted to have a ‘first look’ before their ceremony. I always enjoy these moments, capturing a groom’s face as he sees his bride in her dress for the first time. The two were soon joined by the bridal party for portraits set against a backdrop of the pier and cityscapes.

The ceremony was traditional and heartfelt. The newlyweds soon made their way to the reception for toasts and dancing. Cristie Rosling at Umbrella Events showed off her coordination skills as the wedding décor and overall vibes were elegant but relaxed throughout the night. Meanwhile, the DJ, Alex Rocco from iDJ, was great as he got the people moving. I especially enjoyed his colorful light set-up. This allowed for some action shots that let me to truly capture the celebratory atmosphere.

Of course, I had to steal the bride and groom away for some sunset portraits. The sky was just perfect with shades of yellows and orange, fading into violet-blue, as the sun sank behind the water. I look forward to returning to this venue again, to see what the sky has to offer next time!
