Warne & Alyssa's North Vancouver Wedding Blog by Clint Bargen

In August, I got to photograph in one of my favorites locations, North Vancouver. As a North Vancouver Wedding Photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a variety of incredibly fun, joyful and outdoorsy couples. Warne and Alyssa were no exception! Their Seymour Golf & Country Club Wedding was filled with a tremendous amount of joy, laughter and intimate moments. I felt like I had known them for many years! I was able to put together this slideshow for them over dinner and seeing their reactions were priceless!

To tell their story, I really think it best to let Warne describe it in his own words. “We first met on the most romantic of days, a day devoted to love, one that everyone thinks of when they mention amour… St. Patrick’s Day. We would meet through our mutual friend Mariel Spence. I would, however, let Alyssa go, thinking that not telling her how I felt and missing her for months while she was away having the time of her life in South East Asia was the best courtship strategy.

When Alyssa returned I was eager to see her again and we met once more at a spot of true woo, more romantic than the Eiffel tower…. the Squamish Music Festival. I would follow Alyssa around for several days and eventually, she succumbed to the acquired taste that is Warne Sisler, agreeing to go on a date with me.

While I did not ski and she did not cut food with scissors, we would quickly find common ground over shared friendships and shared interests, which over our time together we have developed shared dreams, shared heartbreaking tears and unforgettable joys.
Over the course of the next 5 years, we would spend days, weeks, years apart but every opportunity apart was a small chance to fall once more in love with one another.
